Built By MAC was started in 2003 by "Mac" MacDonald. After working as a framer for a couple of years, he decided he wanted to build projects that wouldn't get covered by drywall and siding!

Mac specializes in custom decks and patio roofs. His primary decking materials are cedar, redwood and various composite products. Some notable examples of his craftsmanship include incorporating curves into his decks and custom shaping and routing rafter ends and knee bracing on his pergolas and roofs.

Mac is licensed, bonded and insured as a specialty contractor (for both residential and commercial projects). His State issued license number is 157978. You can check the status of his license at the Oregon Construction Contractor's Board website. (I'll save you a trip - no claims have ever been filed against Built By MAC!)

Please use that website as a basic check for every contractor you hire. Every contractor in the state of Oregon is required to have a license on file with the CCB. There are plenty of fly-by-night operations, don't get burned because you didn't do your homework!
