Ramp-A-Thon is a volunteer-driven event where builders, lumberyards and local businesses donate their time, money and materials to build wheelchair ramps for deserving recipients. Started in the NorthWest by the Master Builder's Association, this idea is spreading nationwide with a little help!

Ramp-A-Thon is a one day project that simply provides freedom.

This nationwide expansion of the original Ramp-A-Thon idea was born on ContractorTalk.com, an online forum for professionals in the building trades.

Mac MacDonald , of Built By MAC, in Eugene, OR, is spearheading the effort and already has several builders on board.
By November, 2009, every builder signed up here will have built a wheelchair ramp in their community.

Builders, a great way to get into the conversation would be to join the thread at contractortalk.com. This where we'll informally discuss the various aspects of this project.
